Let The People Be Heard Rally First part of the video shot at the September 3rd
2009 Highland Lakes Tea Party Coalition Town Hall rally in Marble Falls, Texas.
And In The
Beginning There Was Despair
An estimated crowd of over 1000 American
citizens from "both sides of the fence" gathered on the banks of Lake Marble
Falls on Tax Day April 15th 2009 to attend the local "Tea Party" to voice their
concerns about the direction this administration is leading our great
Nation.
The
overriding voice of the people that came to the Tea Party can be categorized
into the following points.
• Fiscal responsibility •
State's Rights • Socialism • Intrusion of the government into business and private enterprise • Tax Cuts not tax increases • Term Limits • Nationalism not Globalism • Immigration Issues
The birth of
hope and of a new
Coalition From the events of
that day, the new Highland Lakes Tea Party Coalition was born as a way to "keep
the fire going". To provide information. To network with tea party and grass
root organizations nation wide. To provide a forum for citizens to make their
voices heard. To inform of future events.
The Highland
Lakes Tea Party Coalition is committed to follow through with outreach to
support candidates, local, statewide and at our nations capital who will
“listen” and espouse our guiding principals.
